As an Environmental Field Technician, you’ll be a valued member of our field operations team. You’ll perform a variety of tasks associated with industrial, emergency response, and remediation projects. As you gain experience, you’ll find many opportunities to grow and develop your career within HEPACO.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be a team-player with a focus on safety and quality
  • Be comfortable operating a variety of tools and equipment including steam cleaners, water lasers, cascade systems, chemical mixers, generators, air saws, drills, grinders, cutting torches, etc.
  • Be capable of performing physical labor associated with clean-up activities, sample collection, waste removal and other remediation tasks
  • Be able to successfully complete an OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER training program (company-paid)
  • Be able to obtain necessary security clearances including TWIC and eRailSafe

Other Requirements

  • You must be able to successfully pass HEPACO’s pre-employment background check, physical exam, and drug screening. 
  • This position regularly requires intermittent sitting, standing, walking, running, climbing, squatting, and kneeling.
  • Physical strength and dexterity sufficient to perform the required task. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds or more with assistance.
